Farmers Markets

In light of the upcoming Farm-to-Table Harvest event this coming weekend at Quail Lodge I thought we should carry on the theme of eating local and highlight the numerous Farmers Markets offered on the Monterey Peninsula. We are lucky to live in one of the largest agricultural centers of the world, and with that, are lucky to have an array of choices to buy local, sustainable or organic produce. And don’t forget every Saturday in October you can visit Earthbound Farms in Carmel Valley to pick up pumpkins, taste different squash seeds or even make dolls out of cornhusks!

Monday: Pacific Grove, 4-7pm, Year Round, Jewell Park

Tuesday: The Barnyard, 9am-1pm (May – September) and Old Monterey Market Place, 4-8pm, Alvarado Street (Year Round)

Friday: Monterey Fairgrounds 3-8pm (April – September) and Monterey Peninsula College, 10am-2pm (Year Round)

Sunday: Del Monte Center 8am-Noon, Whole Foods Parking Lot (May – October)
